5th Anniversary of Operation of Mombasa-Nairobi SGR -- Source of New Employment for Kenyans

The Mombasa-Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway (SGR), built by a Chinese company, was open to the public on May 31, 2017. The 480-km railway is the largest infrastructure project in Kenya since its independence. According to the information of the Africa Star Railway Operation Co. Ltd, since the opening of the Mombasa-Nairobi Railway, the new jobs provided to Kenyans have covered 5 majors and 123 types of work, and more than 3,000 local people have been employed.
