On the evening of July 14, 2022(Beijing Time), the Metropolis held the Meeting of the Board of Directors in a hybrid form with the offline venue in Bogotá, Columbia. This meeting is attended by over 50 representatives from all over the world, including Fuzhou City, Guangzhou City, Hangzhou City, Chengdu City, Wuhan City, Harbin City and other board members from Chinese mainland.

At the meeting, Mr. Guo Yonghang, Mayor of Guangzhou City handed over the Metropolis presidency to Claudia López, Mayoress of Bogotá, whose mandate is from June 2022 to December 2023. Fuzhou City and other participants reviewed the membership affairs, governance issues, Metropolis progress reports, financial affairs, etc., listened to the 2022-2023 work plan of General Secretariat, as well as discussed the matters concerning United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) .
