Science and Technical Schools Board was established in the year of 1977. Now it has over 40 Technical Colleges. The board is contributing to almost 40% of the students admitted into Nigerian universities and polytechnics studying various science and technology courses including medical doctors and technicians.About 40% of the medical doctors, 30% of pharmacists and 35% of engineers in northern Nigeria are supported by the board. And well over 20% of Nigerian medical doctors that are practicing in Europe, United Kingdom, United States and other countries across the world were supported by the board.
