MFA: China preparing third batch of emergency relief supplies for Nepal

TIME:2026-09-02 17:21

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said at a daily news briefing on Wednesday that, in response to Nepal's needs, China is preparing a third batch of emergency relief supplies—including Bailey bridges and epidemic prevention materials—and will send a second team of DNA identification experts.

Guo noted that following the disaster, China has maintained close communication with the embassies of relevant countries in China to jointly carry out search and rescue operations, as well as follow-up arrangements for missing persons and their families.

China attaches great importance to the safety of Chinese citizens and institutions in Nepal, is working closely with the Nepali side to make all-out efforts to search for missing Chinese nationals, and has assisted a large number of Chinese citizens in transferring to safety, Guo added.
