Beijing, Oct. 17 (People’s Daily Online) On October 17, 2023, the G1137 EMU train departed from Halim Railway Station in Jakarta, Indonesia, marking the official operation of the Jakarta-Bandung High-Speed Railway (HSR), cutting the travel time between Jakarta and Bandung from over three hours to just 46 minutes.

Since its commercial launch, the railway has transported more than 5.4 million passengers, including 300,000 international passengers from 159 countries and regions.
