TIME:2021-08-16 15:14

FUZHOU, Aug. 12 (China News Service) -- On August 12, Department of Commerce of Fujian Province informed that Fujian introduced eight measures to promote the high-quality development of "investment projects along the Silk Road ", including supporting enterprises to reshape global industrial and supply chains, enhancing the quality of international capacity cooperation, promoting the orderly development of overseas economic and trade cooperation parks, etc.

Foreign investment is an important contributor to the Belt and Road cooperation, and has a significantly positive role in helping domestic and foreign markets to boost each other. The 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) of Fujian Province clearly proposed to increase the influence of "investment projects along the Silk Road ", so as to ensure a high-quality development of Fujian Province as the core area of the Maritime Silk Road.

For overseas investment in manufacturing, agriculture, forestry, husbandry and fishery, energy and mineral resources exploitation, whose actual investment volume is over USD 5 million (about RMB 32.39 million), Fujian will give a maximum incentive of RMB 2 million in accordance with the ratio of 5 per 1,000. Among them, for investment projects along the "Belt and Road" and key regions such as RCEP, the ratio will be six thousandths.

Fujian will promote China-Indonesia Cooperation on "Two Countries, Twin Parks". According to the plan, Fujian will offer the relevant preferential policies for Fujian’s enterprises who set up offices or invested in the overseas parks.

An official from Department of Commerce of Fujian Province said that the eight measures will help enterprises overcome the adverse impact of COVID-19 pandemic and achieve a stable development of overseas business, so as to make new progress in developing Fujian Province as the core area of the Maritime Silk Road.
