Fuzhou:Comprehensive Waste Management Promotes Green Urban Development

TIME:2025-09-15 18:05

In recent years, Fuzhou has promoted sustainable urban development through the concept of a circular economy, actively advancing the integration of the household waste collection and transportation system with the renewable resources recycling system—the “two-network integration.” At the front end, garbage sorting houses (booths), recycling sites, and smart recycling bins have been set up to enhance the full-category recycling of recyclables. At the middle stage, renewable resource sorting centers (transfer stations) have been established to carry out full-category recycling, intelligent identification, and refined sorting. At the back end, 11 construction waste recycling plants have been built, relying on circular economy eco-industrial parks and bulk solid waste bases to promote the recycling and utilization of renewable resources. As a result, the city’s household waste recycling rate has increased significantly, injecting green momentum into sustainable urban development.
