China’s Gross Ocean Product （GOP） Exceeded 5 trillion Yuan in the First Half of 2025

According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, China’s gross ocean product（COP） reached 5.1 trillion yuan （about $708 billion）in the first half of the year with a 5.8% year-on-year increase, maintaining a steady growth. Traditional marine industries continued to play a “ballast stone” role. Meanwhile, the marine and island area approved of usage surged by 25.2% during this period, demonstrating continuous enhancement in the supply of China’s marine resources and energy.
