2022 Cross-Strait (Fuzhou) Fisheries Week·China (Fuzhou) International Seafood & Fisheries Expo Concluded with Success

The 2022 Cross-Strait (Fuzhou) Fisheries Week · China (Fuzhou) International Seafood & Fisheries Expo was successfully held at the Fuzhou Strait International Conference and Exhibition Center (FSICEC) from June 10th to 12th, 2022. It is the 14th year for the event to be held in Fuzhou. During this period, the event has developed into an important link in the matchmaking of Chinas domestic businesses in fishery production and trade, which is strongly supporting the Fujian Province in the continuous and in-depth development of the fishery economy and the active integration into the new "dual circulation" development pattern.



The exhibition covered an area of 46,600 square meters, and attracted a total of 312 enterprises from 13 provinces and regions including Fujian, Shandong, Sichuan, Anhui, Zhejiang, Liaoning, Hainan, Jiangsu, Tianjin, etc., with the proportion of exhibitors from outside the Fujian Province exceeding 40%. The exhibits covered the entire industry chain of fishery and aquaculture, ranging from various fresh, frozen and dried aquatic products, pre-made aquatic dishes, seafood ingredients, surimi products, and seafood condiments, to aquaculture technology, aquatic products processing and smart fishery, packaging, aquatic feed production, distant-water fishing and other related equipment.




According to statistics, during this years Fisheries Week · Seafood & Fisheries Expo, 15 key marine and fishery projects were signed, with a total contract value of 22.091 billion yuan. The on-site retail sales reached 91.38 million yuan. The contract value of business matchmaking activities was 658 million yuan. The number of buyers reached 15,362. There were 1,778 booths in the eight exhibition areas for pre-made dishes, seafood ingredients, natural products of distant-water fishery, fishery machinery, aquatic product processing, aquaculture, Fuzhou goldfish and recreational marine fisheries, and fish balls. The event has grasped the industrial trends and boosted the fishery development.




The Seafood & Fisheries Expo of this year has followed the latest market developments closely, with focus on the exchanges on import and export business of the industry. To foster the role of pre-made dish industry in the "dual circulation" development pattern an exhibition area for pre-made dishes was set up for the first time, and was supported with the events of the Fujian Matchmaking Meeting for Pre-made Dish Export and the First China Summit Forum for the Industry of Aquatic Pre-made Dishes 2022. The former of the two events was sponsored by the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce, and was actively supported by the American Chamber of Commerce in China, the Oregon China Council, the Fujian Chamber of Commerce in America, the US-China Federation of Catering Industry, and the Chinese Food Alliance of America. A total of about 100 representatives from more than 40 Fujian suppliers of pre-made dishes and 11 American and Canadian purchasers participated online or in person. The First China Summit Forum for the Industry of Aquatic Pre-made Dishes 2022 was participated by more than 200 important guests from upstream and downstream enterprises in the pre-made dish industry. The participating enterprises all spoke highly of the event, for it had helped enterprises of aquatic products in their transformation into producers of aquatic pre-made dishes, provided advice for their research and development of pre-made dish products, and acted as a professional top-level exchange platform for their transformation and upgrading in the current market environment.

In addition, to secure solid outcomes in business and trade matchmaking, the service of One-on-One Business Matchmaking for VIP Buyer was introduced for the first time, and was delivered by the event organizer with clear goals, high quality, and great input. 100 companies of aquatic pre-made dishes and marine product import were precisely matched with 25 large-scale buyers such as Taocaicai, Guan Supermarket, Xianmiao, Pupu, and Meicai.com, and conducted business talks in the comfortable VIP Buyer Zone inside the event venue. According to statistics, the 3-day One-on-One Business Matchmaking for VIP Buyer service facilitated business talks between over 300 enterprises and helped 82 enterprises reach cooperation intentions, with the total contract value at above 30 million yuan.




Also hosted at the event venue were the Signing Ceremony of Key Projects, the Forum for Revitalization of Aquaculture Seed Industry, the 4th China Forum for Revitalization of Fisheries and Fishing Villages, the 4th China (Fujian-Taiwan) Forum for Recreational Fisheries, the 3rd Fujian Forum for Innovative Development of Catering Industry, etc. Meanwhile, a donation ceremony for 622 tons of marine carbon offsets was held at Seafood & Fisheries Expo, making the event Chinas first large-scale zero-carbon exhibition in the field of marine carbon sinks.
