Foreign Affairs Office of Fuzhou Municipal People’s Government attended the 2022 Annual Work Conference for Members of United Cities and Local Governments 
in Chinese Mainland

On June 8, the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (hereinafter referred to as "CPAFFC") held the 2022 Annual Work Conference for members of United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG in short) in Chinese mainland via video link. The Conference was attended by 29 members from Chinese mainland. Mr. Yan Dong, Vice President of CPAFFC, attended the Conference and delivered a work report. Ms. Zong Linhong, Deputy Director of the Department of European & Asian Affairs, CPAFFC, chaired the conference, while member cities including Xi'an, Guangzhou, Zhengzhou, Hangzhou and Fuzhou spoke at the Conference.


Mr. Yan Dong, Vice President of CPAFFC, delivered a speech at the Conference.


Mr. Wu Xiaojie, Director of Foreign Affairs Office of Fuzhou Municipal People’s Government reported on the Committee’s work progress since 2020 and its future work plans. Since 2020, the Committee has improved its strategic planning, taken proactive actions and achieved the following results: First, organizing signature events to promote regional and multilateral exchanges. Second, further growing the Committee to promote pragmatic cooperation in different fields. Third, assisting member cities in combating COVID-19 pandemic in the spirit of building a global community of health for all. Going forward, under the guidance of CPAFFC, the Committee will continue to hold signature events including a Workshop on Ocean and Climate Change as well as its 8th Committee Meeting. Also, the Committee will further develop itself as a platform and to build 21st-Century Maritime Cooperation Center. Moreover, the Committee will continue to deepen ties and cooperation with UCLG ASPAC, and swell the team of its members and advisers, thus increasing its global heft.
